This is a heartwarming book about maturation, both a young man's during his most formative years, 10 to 14, and our country's. The story takes place in and around a large mid-south city, Memphis, Tennessee, circa 1939 into the declining years of World War II. Those of you that were there will revel in reliving that Big Band era.
