Key West has always been a place for dreamers, lovers and the young at heart. The island welcomes you, to come as you are but its charms can also change you in many ways with its tropical decadence. There is a seductive nature about a place where most everybody seems to be on some vacation from life whether permanently, for a season, a week or only a few nights, allowing their passions to bloom, until their senses kick in and their conscience calls them home. Most know what they want before they taste it, but keeping it, is another story all together. A story that countless visitors to the Keys have discovered.

After a day in Key West, the unknown possibilities of reinventing herself seems to be emotionally affecting Cat more than Corky but then he has his own basket of thoughts occupying his mind hoping the father he came down to meet will accept him. Both are on the cusp of an emerging dalliance with life that is new and risqué with neither sure where life is taking them.

Corky's older brother, Henry has found watching the dissolvent in their personas interesting since driving them to Key West. He's imagining them as characters in his second novel and it doesn't bother him the least to be standing lee side, watching Corky and Cat take him where they want to go. Let the young blood have their chance to tempt fate is how he looks at it. Henry's seen it before. People come to Key West and find themselves at the end of the road where it is easy to shed their old selves and be a chameleon taking the color of their surroundings when the splendor of the day ends and the night's revelry begins.
