Hopi Blue Corn is a message from Mother Earth sent directly into the hearts of her children (humanity). It was downloaded to Nadja after she had a dream in which she received a transmission from an indigenous shaman. This story is about GMO's, sustainability, and The Corn Maiden. It features Miguel, the grandson of a Shaman, who enters America illegally with his parents. He is placed in the college prep program from junior high through high school. Miguel graduates from an Ivy League University and lands a top position in a multinational biotech company. Years later he goes on a vision quest to reconnect with his roots. He experiences a spiritual awakening, quits his job, and begins the Work he was born to do to help heal Planet Earth. This could be classified as a novella, a hero's journey, science fiction, fantasy, spirituality, and inspirational. This book comes out at a time when people are becoming aware of GMO's and their effect on the human body. GMO's are a hot political issue. Countries, states, and counties are insisting to have fair labeling disclosing GMO's. Numerous groups to ban GMO's in the market place and in agriculture. Currently 64 countries, including all of Europe, require labeling disclosure and/or have banned GMO's completely. Food companies in the United States now label GMO's in all the food they export to countries who demand this. However, the same companies are not legally required to do this in the United States and are spending huge amounts of money fighting to keep it this way. This book appeals to a wide range of people and age groups. People into healthy life styles as well as New Age thinking are especially drawn to it. However, the author has tested it out with mainstream people and they love it as well. It has been translated into Spanish. Many countries in South America are currently fighting to keep GMO's out of their borders. The book presents a unique viewpoint on plants grown for food. There is no violence in it and actually no mention of companies by name or even the word GMO. The book would fit in school libraries in junior high on up through college as it is inspirational and shows how the human spirit can be victorious. It is a mythic story of global reach including all of humanity. "What a delightful short read I immediately fell in love with Miguel and really enjoyed reading about his journey. The book does not only a great job of storytelling, but also centers the story around an extremely important social topic that everyone needs to learn about and be aware of. Overall, it is a great read which I am sure you will enjoy as much as I did " -- Anna A The MP3 of this book is available from NadjaMedia.com"
