Girl Friday — Dorothy Worley

An author was seeking a girl Friday to work for him in the Florida Keys for four months. The prospect conjured up for June Meredith the feel of white sand between her toes, the rustle of tall palms, the sound and sight and smell of blue waters curling into shore. Four months would take her through March, away from cold, snowy New York.

Surprisingly, after her long interview with Brian Holden, June was introduced to Holden's wife, Mona, and told that they would be expecting her in Florida in two weeks.
