Freedom Fire
The Revolutionary War By 1777 the fight for freedom has spread like fire throughout the colonies. After Fort Ticonderoga falls, Asa Kelly joins Benedict Arnold and a ragtag colonial army in trying to stop Burgoyne's invasion from the north. Asa's scouting partner Zach Burns helps the beautiful Hannah Chase escape the fort by sailing down Lake Champlain and, when attacked again, by making their way through the forest. Meanwhile, Dan and Erin Kelly are with General Washington as he fights to keep the British from capturing Philadelphia. When that fails and Dan disappears following the massacre at Paoli Tavern, Erin must enter the occupied city to search for him. That winter, despite the starving conditions of Valley Forge, the Continental Army learns military tactics from Baron von Steuben. The following June, they put their abilities to the test against perhaps the world's finest army at the Battle of Monmouth.
