When seventeen-year-old Mira Cunningham's younger brother, her only remaining family goes missing, she must find him before he's killed.

While searching for her brother, she gets trapped in a New York Electric machine room and gets electrified, giving her the power to knock out or even kill others. She goes on a mission to Kroy Wen, the ugly underbelly of New York City to find him, even though she still has to learn how to control her power.

She takes on the green-skinned Seducca who want to take over Kroy Wen and may be part of the Townsend Foundation's plan to steal teens for their own malicious purposes.

Her powers may not be enough to stop the two-headed demon she unleashes, the spunky androids in her path who have their own electric surprises, nor the deceitful sorcerer who tricks her into believing he has information she needs.

Then there's a strong guy, a local hero, on her tail after she steals an ancient medallion used to find lost persons. He seems to have his own kind of power over her, which could cause her to fail in her mission, and open the door for the Townsend Foundation to kidnap thousands of other teens.
