Starling and Swift are on the hunt for a killer― and a lost pirate treasure!
Kitty Swift and Chica, her service dog, are enjoying a scuba diving trip that Kitty won playing Bingo. Due to the discovery of a gold coin, most of their group is obsessed with finding a hoard of ancient treasure! Kitty doesn't mind the pirate booty fever that's gripped her fellow divers because ―refreshingly― no dead bodies have turned up to ruin her vacation.
Kitty is sure her streak of morbidly bad luck has ended… until Chica starts to give off her “warning: death is in the wind” signals. Kitty tries to placate her psychic service dog because they have only one more day to explore the vibrant ocean life near Cozumel, and the last dive is right where the treasure is rumored to be! Chica must be sensing residual bad juju from the stolen property, right?
Of course, Chica is right, and a body turns up where Kitty least expects it. She calls her handsome new friend from the American embassy only to discover he's already on his way. The dead man is an American from a politically powerful family, the dive shop is not all it's pretending to be, and Kitty's life is in danger― yet again.
In this third installment, Starling and Swift join forces to track down the heartless killer before anyone else meets a gruesome end.
