No, he had to get rid of the evidence. The problem was that the room next door had fifty or more guests and there were no windows in this room.
He heard a voice calling his name. It was his sister. He stepped out of the closet and grabbed the blanket off the bed. He was covered in blood. He could not let his sister see him like this.
She put her head around the door.
"What are you doing?" she asked angrily.
"Just getting changed," he said calmly.
"Well get on with it. We've been waiting for you for ages." She gave him that look that all older sisters master by age 10.
"You had better hurry up," she ordered.
He waved with one hand and she left. He released the blanket and wiped his hand. Luckily she hadn't notice the blood on the back of it. He would have had some explaining to do.
He changed quickly. Now this was one of those lovely embarrassments that only family could bring upon other family members. His foot squeaked as he took his first step.
"Ah..." he sighed, "It could be worse."
He put his bloodied clothing in the closet and closed the door. He would need some way to get the body out later. Hopefully, no one came in here.
He flopped out to the lounge. Time for some embarrassment
