Dark forces are gathering in the shadowy depths, and the whole city is under threat. Former street thief Tom, in the company of the assassin, Dewar, must leave its towering walls on a last-ditch quest to find the city's mythical founder, the goddess Thaiss. But there are many sinister factions who would stop them.
