Emily lives a lonely existence. She's an orphan, and she doesn't remember her life before age eleven. She long ago accepted her solitude, so when she starts dreaming about a teenage boy, she's terrified. Who is this person who invades her mental privacy? She feels like she knows him. Emily names the boy “Tony” and finds she can talk to him in her dreams. Odon, a mysterious spirit guide, only gifts members of Tony's tribe with these strange talents. As Emily and Tony explore Tony's world, they encounter other Children of Odon. Each has a unique power: telepathy, spell binding, or the ability to manipulate natural forces. The outcast spirit guide Tarantu wants to destroy the Children of Odon, but the young people discover strength in teamwork.
