When Val Taylor sees the Animal Inn van race into the driveway of her father's clinic, she knows it means trouble. And she's right. In the van is a seriously injured collie, the victim of a hit-and-run accident. It doesn't look good for the beautiful dog, and Val is absolutely furious. How could someone hit an animal and then just drive away?

It's not fair that animals don't have the same rights as people. But Val's going to hunt down that car and make the driver do something to pay for what happened.
