When Sarah Ford was ten years old her parents were killed during a Comanche raid on their farm. Sarah had hid herself in the barn under the hay. Little Bear a Wichita Indian came along just after the raid, and found Sarah hiding in the barn. He took her to his village and Sarah lived there for six years.
