At first the great house at Tansey Hill seemed the answer to young Cynthia Adams' prayers. Alone and friendless in the big city, Cynthia was in desperate need of a job when the master of the old mansion hired her to care for his isolated country estate in his absence.

But all too soon Cynthia found that the unearthly beauty of Tansey Hill masked gruesome secrets.
