Celia screamed as she raced along the beach after four-year-old Jennifer's kidnapper. She had to reach the dock before he did -- and there was no time...no time.

The launch was pulling away just as she arrived at the end of the dock. She looked up, sobbing and gasping for air. Three feet separated the dock from the launch, and the boat was moving swiftly. She closed her eyes -- and jumped.
