Sue Barton Visiting Nurse — Helen Dore Boylston

The vivacious redhead and her friend Kit find positions with Visiting Nurse Service in New York City's famed Henry Street Settlement House, where they must work with newborn babies, obstinate old people, immigrants without a word of English, blacks from Harlem -- and all the problems that go with poverty and illness in the vast city.
