Henry Huggins really wants to go salmon fishing with his father. Mr. Huggins won't say "yes," but he doesn't say "no:' either. Instead, he makes a deal with Henry. "If you keep your mischievous dog Ribsy out of trouble for a month, I'll take you along;' he promises.
"It's a bargain!" Henry tells his father. He knows he can keep Ribsy in line. All he has to do is watch him every minute. Then Ribsy can't do things like chase Mr. Grumble's cat up a tree or dig up Mrs. Green's new 'awn. But leave it to Ribsy -- sometimes with the help of neighborhood terror Ramona Quimby -- to find new and better ways to misbehave!
